So if I am selling used books on Amazon, I assume I select NO under the Used Offers Only (Used Buy Box)? Not clear to me since it is still FBA.   Also, what does your program assume about the condition of the books you sell.   Books that are in OK condition will sell for less than books that are like new or very good condition.  How does that figure into your computations?  If I have an book which is in OK condition, do I simply select 1 (Lowest price ) for my trigger?

What does the field trade-in imply?

Hey Jim - the trade-in field is how much you can sell the book back on Amazon and get a guaranteed gift card for it.  If there's a value showing for the trade-in price, odds are other book buyers are willing to pay more, so you should click the BookScouter link to see if you can get a higher price from other vendors.  ScoutIQ assumes you'll be buying used books - the Used Buy Box is if you would want to price your book where the other Prime offers are, since the Used BB is usually the lowest FBA offer.  If the book in your hand is in poor condition, you can tap on the lowest used price to see if the profits are high enough to justify buying it.

Great article!  Is there a way to reset the Triggers?  I changed some of the Target Profit amounts while sourcing to scan a lot of books quickly.  Now that I understand how they work, I'd like to reset them.  Thanks!

I've logged out as you suggested, Caleb. The triggers on my end are set in stone. Only 1 option available--the triggers that come from ScoutIQ. If I go into app.scoutiq.co I can click on adding an additional trigger set, but those are very limited in their editing, as well. I'm attaching screenshots of my phone, and the site:

Hey Jorge - you can edit the triggers on our web portal as you've discovered.  Click the Restore to Defaults option and it'll fill them in with the defaults to make editing much simpler!

I'm having problems creating the new triggers. I create a new trigger set, then I restore to default the triggers, and I go to modify the profit. The problem is I'm trying to do this on my android phone and it's very difficult to change the profit amount. It's a very small window.
The other problem is that with the new trigger set, when I scan a book it compares it to the lowest used book price not the buy box price. In the trigger setting it has the Compare to Buy Box on. I scanned over 100 books before realizing it. I used my old triggers and it worked.
I wanted to create a new trigger set because I recently got ungated in DVDs.
Do you know why this is a problem and do you know when it will be fixed?

Thanks I like the feel of the new version. Also I like how fast the database takes to load. It use to take forever to load.
