To perform live searches, Amazon requires your seller account be connected to your ScoutIQ account. You must have a Professional Seller's Account on Amazon in order to make the connection. Although a Professional Sellers Account costs $39.99 each month, it will save you $0.99 in fees on each item sold plus you can become Buy Box eligible with a professional account. Thus, if you're selling more than 40 items each month, this fee will actually save you money.
You can connect your Amazon account to ScoutIQ on the last step of the sign up process by clicking on the ornage button that says, "Connect my Amazon seller account" as shown below.
If you did not connect your Amazon account to ScoutIQ when you started your trial, you can still connect by going to the Amazon tab within the ScoutIQ web portal here and clicking the green button that says, "Click here to ReAuthorize your Amazon Account" as shown below.
Troubleshooting your Account
Why won't my credentials work? If your account is brand new or you recently upgraded to a Professional Seller's Account, Amazon may delay the approval of your credentials for a few hours (or even a day or two). Wait a few hours and then try to re-enter connect, and they should work. If they don't, reach out to our customer support team at support@scoutiq.co for more assistance.
What if my Account Stops Working all of the sudden?
Amazon will typically authorize your connection with a particular developer (i.e. ScoutIQ) for a period of 12 months. You're required to renew the connection periodically to ensure that we still have permission to do live lookups on your behalf. If your account stops working, it could be that your credentials need to be renewed. You can see your active credentials here:
https://sellercentral.amazon.com/apps/manage
Find ScoutIQ in the list, then click the "Renew" button and you'll be good to go for another year!

Thank you so much! Yes I did recently switch to a Pro account, THAT is what is holding it up. Was driving me BONKERS
But if you're just getting started and not making 40+ sales/month the pro seller fee will set you further upside down for a while until you can get your inventory built up enough and start making a decent amount of sales..
Why does live lookup require a pro account?
I have the same question as George.
